Power Options
Multiple Power Options
For many projects, there is a familiar challenge – power! How do you get it and how do you keep it running? The Greenlight System has multiple options to keep the flowing.
Whether AC, DC or solar, the Greenlight System continuously monitors and reports power conditions to the central server to ensure that the field station is up. And, to ensure continuous power, the RTU put each device into sleep mode when not needed (overnight or through the weekend).
Solar Power
For projects off the grid or sites with challenging or expensive AC power access, solar power is a necessity and an easy solution. In addition, solar can be configured for any part of the country in any season.
Using a solar panel that charges battery storage, a Greenlight System field station can perform its programmed site monitoring and data messaging capabilities effortlessly and continuously. The panel charges a battery(s) that powers the field station components: modem, RTU (remote terminal unit), and monitoring devices.
