Cell Modems = Wireless Monitoring Almost Anywhere
Setting up monitoring projects can be complicated due to obstructions like buildings, equipment, and stockpiles. Using cell modems as part of the Greenlight Environmental Monitoring System now allows telemetry from fixed and mobile stations where typical line-of-sight modems are not feasible. -
Moving Data Servers from the Site…to the Clouds!
For many projects, especially those with standard radio modems, project servers have to be located close to the site to gather the data that is wirelessly and continuously transmitted. Cell modems, however, continuously deliver data packets through the Internet which means that the data server CAN be moved away from site offices and trailers to the centralized and off-site Greenlight System Data Center.
